If you want to know what it means to be a Christian, all you have to do is look at the moon. The only way we can see the moon, is due to the sun’s light reflecting off of it. This is a picture of a Christian. Without the light of the God in our life, we are just like the moon would be without the sun… drifting around in circles in the dark. But, when the moon meets the sun, the moon is given purpose, meaning, direction and life! The only thing the moon has to do is to recognize and receive the sun. That’s what it means to be a Christian…receiving the light of the Son, Jesus- and to shine His light on to others! To be empowered by a Light that is not our own, but His. Oh to be the moon, that’s what I wanna be…everyday. (Psalms 8:3, 18:28, 19:1-4, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 4:6, Hebrews 1:3)
