The New Year of Trees... Tu B'Sh'vat
Today celebrates the "New Year of Trees" in Israel called "Tu B'Sh'vat" which means the 15th of Sh'vat. It is here in the fullness of the month, when blossoms of the almond tree bloom forth bringing encouragement of life in the midst of winter. The word "almond" in Hebrew means "to watch." In fact, the almond tree is called the "watching tree." We see the word play the Lord is using when He tells Jeremiah he has seen well! Truly His word is timely for us, too, here in the mid

Fullness Of The Month of Sh'vat
Tonight, January 20th (Sh’vat 15) marks the middle or fullness of the Biblical month of Sh’vat. It’s easy to know when are in the middle of the month... all we have to do is look up!
The Lord created the moon and its phases for times and seasons. The full moon indicates the middle or “fullness” of the month. This particular full moon is unique as it is a “Super Blood Moon.”
